1. Back, Neck and Spinal Pain

Experience teaches us that no two back pain sufferers are the same. There are common and often predictable patterns, but the overall presentation Will always be unique. A thorough analysis is key, making communication between the therapist and patient vital.

All of our therapists are highly skilled – taking precise history and analyzing movement dysfunctions to form an accurate diagnosis To facilitate optimal treatment and management strategies.

2. Sports Injuries

If you have painful joints or muscles as a result of the sport, we can help. We have a proven record in the treatment of running-related injuries ex: Achilles tendon problems, muscle tears, and knee pain. We are also experts in sports massage and biomechanical analysis to ensure that your running technique is not going to slow you down or cause you any injury. It is our aim to help you reach your goals and achieve your sporting potential.

We often see:

  • Tendon sprains and strains ex: Achilles tendonitis, shin splints, tennis elbow, and ligament sprains.
  • Acute muscular injuries/tears.
  • Chronic overuse injuries – biomechanical problems. We are here to get you back up and running (literally, in some instances) following major surgery or an injury.

3. Post Surgical Rehabilitation

WHAT TO EXPECT

The initial consultation will normally require 45 minutes depending on the complexity of your problem. The physiotherapist will conduct a thorough initial clinical assessment to identify the source of your symptoms and uncover any underlying causes. The findings will be discussed with you.

It is important for you to have a full understanding of your problem so that an agreed plan of action can be implemented. In addition to treating your injury, we want to particularly focus on helping you achieve your specific individual goals. Treatment would normally begin in this session.

Follow-up consultations/treatments are 30-45 minutes. In these sessions your symptoms will be reviewed and treatment will be conducted on a session-by-session basis.

A spot of housekeeping: it is advisable to bring a pair of shorts. if the problem is related to your leg or lower back. For ladies, we recommend you wear a vest top. if your complaint relates to your upper body/neck.
